As more of us stay home, or find ourselves with free time, I thought it would be fun to throw a dance party and try to shake off the cabin fever together. Families welcome to join.
While dancing at home is a choice available to some of us, there are others for whom it is not possible. AWARE’s sustained and persistent efforts to push for equal rights continue through these difficult times. Let’s not forget that lockdowns in some cities caused a steep rise in domestic violence—which includes sexual violence. Therefore I hope to support AWARE through this time, by taking the pleasure to dance at home, and raising funds for them.
Date: Monday, 6 April 2020
