Conducted by AWARE’s Sexual Assault Care Centre, the goal of this workshop is to create support systems for survivors of sexual assault, and to equip participants with the necessary skills to be effective first responders to survivors. It covers the following topics through an array of discussion, case studies and role playing activities, helping participants to become sensitive to such situations:

● Who is a Sexual Assault First Responder?
● Role of a Sexual Assault First Responder
● Skills of a Sexual Assault First Responder
● Providing support to survivors of sexual assault
● Resources available for help

If you are planning to attend this, do note that it would be advisable to attend the Sexual Assault Awareness Training Workshop on 16 March, or to have attended a previous such workshop.

This workshop is a self-organised initiative by Mok Cui Yin with soft/WALL/studs to increase sexual assault care awareness, especially in the independent arts and creative sector.

soft/WALL/studs is a collaborative project in Singapore involving several artists, writers, film makers, art workers, and researchers. Its projects include exhibitions, acts of amplification, hosting, fugitivity, counter-rhythm generation, support, resource gathering, research, writing, detournement, game-making, teaching, collaboration, and maintenance.
